i have serious issues, which i should eventually deal with or go to a shrink for. this adorable freshman came into the writing center today, and i was just like, "omg, i wanna feed you, care for you and protect you from the world." i felt, like, so motherly, and i went over the paper in so much detail and with so much care. ahhhh.

we're doing dracula this term (i'm playing van helsing. or, as i like to tell everyone, i'm playing hugh jackman playing van helsing). i am not excited about it by any means, i don't want to be involved, and i CERTAINLY DO NOT WANT TO MEMORIZE MY LINES. i have like forty thousand monologues and the like, and i just don't have the time or energy to memorize them. it's such a big role, and i don't want it. but i'll deal (i'm always complaining).

my watson is done (for now) and submitted, and i should hear back from them for preliminary things tomorrow (or soon).

that's all for now. yeah.

i won't write for long, since i have a ton of work to do, but i just want to say that the direction our country is headed is sickening. our freedoms, which people claim are being 'diligently fought for' overseas, are being eradicated on a frightening pace. our right to free speech, our right to assemble, our right to free thought, are gone already. pretty soon we'll be living in a bubble of fair-skinned, light-haired people praying to one true God and worshipping our deigned monarchy. and the saddest thing about this, the thing that is the most frightening, is that no one cares. no one gives a fuck. call yourself whatever you want- liberal, conservative, socialist, whatever- but you should have a problem with this. you should be standing up for your rights and OUR rights. you should question authority, regard others when making choices, and fight for the things that all creatures are entitled to: living rights.

i'm done.

so, i'm going to update, particularly because i have so much work to do, and i don't want to do it.

i'm in the midst of one of the most arduous tasks of my life-- applying for a Watson Fellowship. it's such a long process, but hopefully it will pay off. $25000 to travel abroad for a year? YES. sign me up. all the way. i've decided that it's the only thing i want to do with my life after school. i'm not going to apply for grad schools. (well, i say that now, but i think that's unavoidable with all of my family after me about it. i only wish THEY would pay the $100 application fees for each school).

i said danger, to the smoke detector.

personally, i would like to never have to spend any money ever again. but, unfortunately, life is not devised that way, and so, i must say farewell to all of my money. *moratorium*

cause i, feared the best and loved the worst, insisted that i go first, and i never thought i'd see you as i did, that day

oh man, rilo kiley. fascinated.

ok, nothing left to say. WORK.

monologue. NOW, joey. por favor.
